The Industry Connection

CIM thrives because of the connection between academia and industry. The CIM’s National Steering Committee partners with leaders in the concrete industry to ensure that the program is relevant to today’s industry practices and leads students into the future.

Each university’s CIM program is supported by a Patrons network of local, state and regional concrete industry producers, suppliers, contractors, and professional organizations. Members of CIM Patrons groups, many of whom are CIM alumni, work as concrete professionals, association leaders and industry consultants.

The Patrons Group connects students with a powerful network that almost guarantees job placement after graduation. Patrons groups offer graduates unparalleled access to leaders, companies, and opportunities to learn and advance their careers. The Patrons group provides scholarships and in-kind support, guest lecturers and speakers, onsite field trips, internships and recruiting services, and mentorship.
