Texas State University CIM Patrons Board Foundation Announces New Leadership for 2025-2027 Term
The Texas State University Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Patrons Board Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, is pleased to announce its new board leadership for the 2025-2027 term. Rob Van Til, Executive Vice President of Knife River Central Region, has been named Chairman, and Stephen Wild, Vice President and General Manager for Heidelberg Materials South Texas Concrete, has been appointed Vice Chairman. Both leaders bring extensive experience and deep industry connections that will further advance the foundation’s mission.
Rob Van Til, a Texas native, assumed his role as Chairman on January 22, 2025. He brings a wealth of experience in the construction materials industry, having held senior leadership positions at multiple national materials suppliers. From 2010 to 2020, Van Til was a founder and managing partner of River Aggregates, LLC, a Houston-area supplier. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and remains actively involved in the Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association (TACA) and the Texas Asphalt Pavement Association (TXAPA).
Stephen Wild assumes the role of Vice Chairman, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience spanning leadership roles in Florida, Nevada, and Texas. For the past 12 years, he has been a key leader in the Texas market, serving in various executive positions. His dedication to the industry extends beyond his professional roles, as he has actively contributed to multiple industry boards at both the local and national levels. Wild is an engaged member of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) and TACA and holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
Dr. Ryan Penlerick, Professor and Program Director for the Texas State University CIM Program expressed gratitude to outgoing Chairman Griffin Taylor, General Manager of the Texas and Oklahoma region for Holcim, for his years of leadership and contributions to the growth of the CIM Patrons Board. Penlerick also thanked outgoing Vice Chairman Andrew Mouser of CWT Construction for his dedicated service.
“We deeply appreciate the leadership Griffin Taylor and Andrew Mouser have provided during their tenure,” said Penlerick. “Their efforts have been instrumental in growing our program and strengthening our partnerships within the industry. As we look ahead, we are excited about the vision and leadership that Rob Van Til and Steve Wild bring to the board. Their experience and commitment to the industry will undoubtedly help us continue to build on our success and expand opportunities for CIM students at Texas State University.”
The Texas State University CIM Patrons Board Foundation remains dedicated to advancing the Concrete Industry Management program by supporting students, fostering industry relationships, and driving fundraising initiatives for student scholarships and program support initiatives. Under this new leadership, the foundation looks forward to continued growth and success.
