Texas State Announces Promotion of Dr. Yoo Jae Kim

In recognition of Dr. Yoo Jae Kim’s long record of excellence in teaching and continuous research, Texas State University and the Board of Regents approved Dr. Kim’s promotion to full professor in June 2020. Dr. Kim has been with Texas State University since 2009 and joined the CIM program in the fall of 2010.  His roles include teaching CIM/CSM undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting concrete research, advising students, managing CIM scholarship programs, organizing senior, alumni, employer surveys, and maintaining contact with national and local professional chapters and alumni.

As senior faculty in the CIM program, Dr. Kim is building a strong relationship between industry and academia. He will also continue his research endeavors by focusing on sustainable and green construction materials and characterization of reinforced concrete materials. Dr. Kim is also a professional engineer in Texas, and a member of the design handbook committee of the precast/prestressed concrete institute. Congratulations Dr. Kim!
