Concrete Preservation and Research at Alcatraz Island Continues
California State University, Chico Concrete Industry Management students continue to conduct research at Alcatraz Island. Recent findings have revealed an old network of underground tunnels and fortifications. The program is set to expand from a 10-week summer experience for undergraduates to a year-round operation that will also offer research opportunities for graduate students and job training for military veterans.
