Chico State Holds Trades Day, Jan. 27, 2022
Valley Contractors Exchange is the local member association of contractors, suppliers and construction professionals. One arm of focus is workforce development and educating local youths about the careers available in the construction industry. With a significant gap in the labor force for our industry, we are looking for every avenue to get in front of students including getting students hands-on experience with tools and teaching them new skills. The Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF), holds a Trades Day event that gives area high school students an opportunity to interact with local construction companies, apprentice programs and manufacturers with hands-on demonstrations.
