Nineteen CSU – Chico Students Honored with Rawlins Merit Awards

Nineteen California State University, Chico students with major achievements in the classroom and in the community were honored at the 35th annual Lt. Robert Merton Rawlins Merit Award reception on Nov. 7.

The award, one of the largest and most prestigious at CSU, Chico, celebrates scholarship, extracurricular activities and outstanding academic and professional accomplishments. Awards are also based on evidence of a student’s sincere intent to complete their education, to increase their personal knowledge and to achieve success in every aspect of life.

CSU, Chico faculty members nominate the award recipients, who receive $3,000 scholarships. The 2015-2016 Rawlins award recipients included CIM students Sara Luther and Joanne O’Hara.
