The Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Patrons and Staff, along with World of Concrete® Show Management, Hanley Wood Publications and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, sponsored a major fundraising unreserved auction held during the 2006 World of Concrete®. Over 200 attendees and exhibitors participated in the bidding action. McNeilus/International donated a brand new concrete mixer truck, and Somero donated one of its PowerRakes. Dozens more items were donated that went to the highest bidders. Over $250,000 was raised during the auction!

The 2007 CIM Fundraising Auction is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 12 PM at World of Concrete® at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall Room N262. The 2007 CIM Auction will benefit the efforts of the CIM National Steering Committee (NSC) in support of the CIM Programs at Middle Tennessee State University, Arizona State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology and California State University - Chico.

About the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Program:
In early 1995, the concrete industry began efforts to create the first (and only) four-year degree program in Concrete Industry Management (CIM). The CIM-Program is designed to combat the anticipated shortage of skilled managers needed to support the expected growth of the concrete industry. The program teaches students the skills and techniques needed to excel in all segments of the concrete and concrete construction industries. The CIM-Program is currently offered at four leading universities across the country, including Middle-Tennessee State University, Arizona State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology and California State University - Chico.
